The Big Eye

The Big Eye is a first class charter fishing company, operating out of Hatteras Harbor Marina in Hatteras Village. Fishing charters operate year round, so the best fishing won’t be missed. The 46 foot custom built fishing boat boasts 3 captains chairs, including a large tuna chair, ready for when the big one hits. The large size of the boat is perfect for rough weather and will accommodate up to 6 persons in a charter. The cockpit contains a battery of electronic navigation equipment, including GPS, marine radio and multiple depth finders. It contains several state of the art fish finders, to ensure the big one doesn’t get away.

The spacious cabin contains a microwave, XM radio and new for 2011, heating and air conditioning, to add to the comfort of the charter. The air conditioning will become a blessing on the hot, North Carolina summer days.

Tackle is provided with ratings as light as 20lbs. to as heavy as 130lbs. Though the boat will be equipped with all you will need for a day of deep sea fishing, you are encouraged to bring your lucky lures. If you feel more comfortable using your own tackle, feel free to bring it along. If the charter is to be a day out with the guys, (or gals), do not feel guilty about leaving the family behind on the Outer Banks. The beaches have been rated top 10 in the United States, and overcrowding isn’t a problem. They can feel free to browse the shops in Hatteras Village, enjoy a meal at one of the better eateries, or explore the scenic beauty the Outer Banks have to offer. They wont’ be trapped in a hotel room.
