Looking for a different type of adventure when visiting Miami, Florida? Flats to Fathoms specializes in light tackle and fly-fishing in both sea and fresh waters right outside the city limits. Captain Mike Hutchinsson is a Miami native and has been fishing since he could walk. He covers four areas, each of them unique and different, where he takes his guests depending on their experience and what they are looking to hook up with.

Captain Mike loves what he does and it shows.He knows these waters like the back of his hand and he takes this knowledge to put you on the fish.He loves to fish and loves to impart his knowledge to others whether they are a new to the sport or an experienced angler. Depending on what you are looking to catch Captain Mike will take you on a trip to the flats of Biscayne Bay or maybe to the outskirts or deep into the Everglades. Because he has fished all of these areas he knows where the perfect spot is to take you to catch what you want to catch whether it is with live bait, a lure or a fly he made or one you might have made.

The salt water he fishes is filled with all types and species of fish. Snook, Redfish, Bonefish, Tarpon, Permit, Sharks and other fighting fish that are a dream to some and a nightmare to others make their homes in the shallows and flats. In the fresh water largemouth and peacock bass are found in the ponds and creeks. Along with all of the fish, the areas he will take you are naturally beautiful as well. Birds and gators and other wildlife make Everglade National Park their home. Captain Mike wants to inspire, teach and ignite a passion for fishing in all of his clients and with the natural beauty and the incredible fish it is really hard not to be inspired.
