Fort Lauderdale Fishing
South Florida is well known for its year round fisheries. Off the coast of Fort Lauderdale,we are very fortunate to have the northbound flowing gulfstream current so close to our shoreline. This current of deep blue water brings to us it's rich bounty of sea life that feeds and supports our local fishing. Our coastline also features an offshore coral reef along with some strategically placed artifical reefs (wrecks), that provides the bottomstructure necessary to hold many different species of gamefish.

About
Captain Jeff developed his love for the sea at a young age while fishing and crabbing the waters of Barnegat Bay, New Jersey. As he grew older he began fishing the offshore waters of the New Jersey coast. Captain Jeff followed his passion for the sea to the Florida Institute Technology where he studied marine science and earned a degree in offshore marine technology.Captain Jeff lived aboard his first boat the "Blue Heron" a 41' trawler, for five years. He spent much of his time fishing, lobstering and exploring the outer islands of the Bahamas and Florida Keys. Captain Jeff has owned and operated the "Lady Helen" a 29' twin diesel charter boat over the past 16 years. Fishing out of Fort Lauderdale, he has been providing an exciting and memorable charter fishing experience for his clients. He currently holds a 100 ton U.S. Coast Guard Masters License, and is fully licensed and insured for charter fishing.

The Charter Boat

The Lady Helen is a 29' Luhrs, powered by twin Yanmar diesels. She's loaded with the latest state of the art electronics, consisting of 2 VHF radios, 3 GPS machines, Chart plotter and sonar. We have onboard full Coast Guard required equipment including EPIRB. The benefits of using this boat are vast. With the unique design of the boat it allows anglers to safely walk around the outside cabin allowing virtually 360 degrees of fish ability. This type of boat is also ideal for the type of fishing that I focus on, which is live bait kite fishing. She has a small cabin below with a separate head (bathroom) and a tower above that provides excellent visibility for spotting fish offshore.
