Seward Adventure Charters, LLC is a premier fishing business located in Seward Alaska.  We fish the waters of Resurrection Bay and the Gulf of Alaska for Halibut, Salmon, Ling Cod and Rock Fish.  Our fishing is performed along some of most beautiful coastline in the world.  We have the Kenai Fjords National Park, a multitude of glaciers and an abundance of wildlife to view.  You will likely see whales, sea lions, bald eagles, puffins, sea otters, and many other marine mammals and birds.

Seward, Alaska

The town of Seward Alaska is located just 110 miles south of Anchorage and is accessible via road or Alaska Railroad.  Seward also has a small airport but no commercial flights in or out.  The city of Seward has many opportunities for lodging and dining at all budgets and tastes.  Please ask about accommodations and we will happily assist you.  When not fishing be sure to see the Seward Sea Life Center, walk up to and hike Exit Glacier, ride a sled team (even in the summer) or take a lunch cruise on the Kenai Fjords boats.  We love our little coastal town of Seward and we are sure you will too.

About Seward Adventure Charters

Our captains and crew are in the charter business because we all love to fish.  Strange as that may seem that is not always the case.  We are experts at catching Halibut, Salmon, Ling Cod and Rock Fish.  Our unique techniques and special fishing locations combined with our boat being one of the fastest and most stable in the 6 passenger fleet offers you the opportunity to catch more fish and maybe even catch a “HOG” (150 lbs or greater) halibut.

Captain John McLeod is the primary captain of the SeaVenture.  He is licensed by the US Coast Guard and very good at putting you on the fish.  John has fished his entire life and is an expert at all things involving boats and fishing.  He is a joy to spend time with and will very much entertain you while putting you on the fish.  John is originally from Richmond Hill Georgia and has fished blue water many years. John was married this summer to Laci right at the docks in Seward and our vessel, SeaVenture was used to stage the wedding.

Captain James Stegall and his wife Patti own the charter business.  Captain James is also licensed by the Coast Guard as a Master of 100 Tons.  Captain James owns an X-ray sales and service company in Anchorage that keeps him busy most weekdays.  He spends his weekends and as many other days of the summer as he can in Seward running with the crew or filling in as a captain for another charter company.  Captain James, his wife and their 4 kids love fishing so much that they decided to start the charter business.  Although the girls are now in college you will see his boys working as deckhands for his business and others in Seward.

Justin and Brian Stegall are the deckhands and their job is to ensure that the boat and gear is clean and ready and to assist you with bait and landing the fish all day.  They both have grown up on boats and you will find them most handy.
